Great stuff, Jenna! I read The Frozen River when it first came out, but don't recall the husband.'s Jamie-ness. Back on my TBR list! Good luck with your training.

Thanks Diane. I'm excited for Outlander's final TV season to start next week!

Adding to my TBR! If you get to Maine, highly recommend a river “cruise” in Damariscotta! The guide gives a talk about the shell middens created by indigenous people thousands of years ago, as well as other bits of local history. Plus the village is very cute- lots of great eateries and of course, a bookstore 😏

Thanks for the recommendation and the info on shell middens! I didn't know what they were either, although as I was reading your link, I had a little memory of learning about shell middens while reading The Boxcar Children books when I was a kid.

Boxcar Children was a great series. I might have to relisten to them for nostalgia

What are shell middens?

That’s incredible, thanks for sharing! Maine is definitely on our need-to-get to list.

I liked the concept of Outlander but wished there was more time traveling like in Kindred by Octavia Butler. I liked it but it felt more historical fiction with a hint of sci fi than the other way around.

"DUH..." What a class you teach! Love the resources and am working with Project Zero and visual thinking routines this week, so it was a reminder of the wealth available, including free training. Ariel Lawhon was a book club pick last year and discussion sizzled. There is a great npr interview with her regarding inspiration, too. As always, valuable from start to finish.
