Jenna, I love the way there are so many great lessons in your posts - lessons about history, about people, lessons about lessons. And today, lessons about running. I hope you're running a marathon on Substack because I want to read more!
Loved this! Your students are so lucky to have you connecting the dots and making history relevant and fascinating! I am not a runner, more of a wanderer and biker, but have spent lots of time in Germany. Great to learn they offer marathoners beer!!
The marathon in Germany looked amazing! I've retired from marathons (ran 9 in my late 20s/early 30s) but destination races were always my favorite. Running one while traveling to Europe with family would have been so difficult - but you did it!
Hadn't heard of the 13 year old running phenom, need to get that book!
Destination races are definitely the best! My goal is to run a race (doesn't have to be a marathon) in every state in the USA. I think I'm a third of the way there?
Oh, Jenna, you’ve done it again. Thanks for making my day.❤️

I’ll be throwing my name in the hat for the NYC marathon lotto so 🤞🤞🤞
