Loved this! Your students are so lucky to have you connecting the dots and making history relevant and fascinating! I am not a runner, more of a wanderer and biker, but have spent lots of time in Germany. Great to learn they offer marathoners beer!!

The marathon in Germany looked amazing! I've retired from marathons (ran 9 in my late 20s/early 30s) but destination races were always my favorite. Running one while traveling to Europe with family would have been so difficult - but you did it!

Hadn't heard of the 13 year old running phenom, need to get that book!

Destination races are definitely the best! My goal is to run a race (doesn't have to be a marathon) in every state in the USA. I think I'm a third of the way there?
